It seemed easier to add updates through a blog, than to add further updates as separate pages, so here it is.  This is my first blog and I don't know what will come of it, but I guess we'll use it to post updates on our family and on any SMA news which we think might be useful.

Hello, I did a search of SMA blog and your blog came up. I have a daughter who is 13 years old and suffers from SMA Type I. She has lived way past her life expectency and we have had the privlidge of getting to know her. I was happy to read of your 10 years on. I have trwo older children 18 and 16. Their lives have been quite affected by Maria's illness. How did you manage to pick up the pieces?
